This is a short film I shot, directed, and edited myself, which was my first film to be accepted into a film festival, San Diego Film Week (see listing here). The film thematically tells a fictional story of language learning and cultural (and personal) fascination, while embracing the distance between the self and others as a method of better understanding another one's background.
This is the film's synopsis: "A young violinist encounters a girl, a photographer whom he believes is Japanese, and invests in learning her native language to befriend her."
